FAQs

3D MICROBLADING

Why do I need a touch up?

Some strokes will not stick the first session, so the touch up is to ensure they turn out perfect for you!

Can I have microblading done while pregnant/ breastfeeding?

There are places that will do it for you if a doctor’s note is provided. However, at Lynn Taylor Esthetics, we have decided that it’s best to not accept clients who are pregnant and/or breastfeeding. Babies > Brows! Come see us when you have completed breastfeeding!

Is microblading a tattoo?

No, microblading is not done with a tattoo gun but with a specialized hand tool which holds disposable microblades! Each hair stroke is individually placed to give you the most natural hair like look we all want!

Does it hurt?

Every person’s pain tolerance is different, however we use top of the line numb creams to ensure that this procedure is as painless as possible!

Can I workout afterwards?

It is recommended to not workout for at least 24 hours. When your body sweats it is likely that it will push color out in the first 24 hours.

What is the healing process like?

To keep it short and sweet, NO SUN, NO WATER, OR ITCHING for at least the first 10 days. Basically ignore your brows for 2 weeks or until the scabs have completely flaked off! Your brows will get very dark for a week or so, so please be sure you don’t have any important events to attend (i.g. beach, vacation, weddings, family photos, etc.)

How long does it last?

Everyone’s skin holds color differently but on average it should last 2-3 years!

How soon after Botox can I have my eyebrows microbladed?

Because botox takes a few weeks to completely settle and kick in, please wait at least 2 weeks after botox to get microbladed!

What is the microblading process like, and how long does it take?

At Lynn Taylor, we take pride in making sure we know exactly what our clients expectations & goals are. Your appointment will be approx. 2 hours long from beginning to end. First, we will have a consultation and pick the best brow shape and color for your face. Then we will begin the numbing process and start your eyebrow transformation. During the procedure you can get to know your brow artist or listen to music, some clients even fall asleep!

Eyelash Extensions

Will extensions damage my natural lashes?

If lash extensions are performed properly they should never damage the natural lash. We make sure to isolate each individual natural lash and we adhere the lash extensions to the very base of the natural lash. Your lashes have a 21-90 day lash cycle, so you are constantly replenishing your lashes. On average, you should lose 3-5 of your own lashes a day and you will see the extension attached to it which is completely normal.

Can I go swimming with lash extensions?

Absolutely! You just want to keep them as dry as possible. So make sure as soon as you get out of the water you rinse them with fresh water and dry them off and brush into place.

Can I get my lashes wet?

Absolutely! This is the most common myth we hear from our clients about lash extensions. Your lashes are completely finished when you leave your appointment. There is no additional cure time with the adhesives we use.

What happens if I don’t clean and brush my lashes?

If you do not clean your lashes, you can have a lot of issues. It can cause different infections such as: Blepharitis, Conjunctivitis or many more. If you do not brush your lashes, they will tangle and will not look uniform and will not shed properly.

How often should I get a fill?

We require 2-3 week fills. Anything passed 3 weeks is considered a full set.

What is the different between Classic and Volume lashes?

Classic is one individual lash extension attached to each of your individual lashes. Creating more of a mascara look. Volume is multiple fine, lightweight lash extensions that are attached to each of your individual lashes.

How do I take care of my lashes?

The best way to take care of your lashes is by cleansing them daily with our Borboleta Beauty Cleanser, specifically formulated to clean lashes and lash extensions. You must also brush your lashes, once dry, daily to keep them uniform and shedding properly. Please avoid any oily products directly on the lashes.

Can I wear mascara?

NO! We do not believe you should need mascara if we are doing our job right.

Are your lash extension products vegan and cruelty-free?

YES! All of our lash products are vegan and cruelty-free, including our cleansers and makeup brushes! :)
